kobe is not just the place to get the best beef in the world, its also a pleasant city with a more laid-back vibe compared to osaka or tokyo. I enjoyed the port area a lot, it reminded mo of sydney. there are also plenty of artworks all over the streets, factory outlets for clothes and of course, the absolute best beef in the world (I can’t help but repeat this)!

around 1.5-2 hours away from osaka is the center of Shingon Buddhism in Japan. not too many tourists, beautiful place to just walk around in, and you can even choose to have a taste of monastic life with many temples offering overnight stays! i’ll definitely try that next time.
I never thought I would enjoy walking through a graveyard

around 1-1.5 hours away from osaka is the beautiful castle of Himeji. it is one of the best preserved castles in Japan and the main keep opened just last Mar 27 after several years of renovation. definitely worth a visit if you’re in the kansai area.
