Whirlwind ASEAN Day 6: Luang Prabang

Today I just enjoyed the different temples around the Old Quarter of Luang Prabang. But first I decided to visit the UXO (unexploded ordnance) Visitor Center as this was highly recommended in Trip Advisor. The exhibit is quite small, just a room, but it was very eye opening. I had no idea that Lao PDR was the most bombed country in the world! Despite the decades that have passed since the last bomb was dropped these UXO are still affecting the lives of the people. I applaud the efforts being done by the organization to completely clear up the remaining UXO and I recommend everyone to visit the center and donate if you can.

Following that I embarked on a temple run around town. I can hardly remember the names of these individual temples but thanks to the handy tourist map provided by the tourism office I can identify most of them.
